Capitalisation

[edit]

2405:204:6388:f289:905f:b99b:11ff:29e Why are all of the ranks capitalized? This doesn't comply with MOS:JOBTITLES or MOS:MILTERMS.  Eyercontact  20:41, 20 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Because thats how military ranks and government officials designations are written everywhere in the world you need to give some respect to the. Also most of the people dont know the full form of designations e.g. the word ACP is known to all but many people dont know that its full form is Assistant Commissioner of Police. So you should use capital letters as well as their short forms. Eyer ka baap (talk) 06:33, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am fine with re-adding the acronyms, but per Wikipedia's style guide, the ranks should remain lowercase. —Eyer (If you reply, add {{reply to|Eyer}} to your message to let me know.) 12:50, 6 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay..add the acronyms so that it could be understood by every reader. Eyer ka baap (talk) 17:52, 18 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

That's not how this works. If you want the acronyms added, add them. —Eyer (If you reply, add {{reply to|Eyer}} to your message to let me know.) 18:59, 1 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

WP:OR

[edit]

@Eyer: I feel like wiping out a bunch of the OR in the India section would be the best course of action. It also seems unfocused and a little hard to follow. I've tried my best to copyedit it, but I think it needs to go? Regards, Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 20:53, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Go for it. —Eyer (If you reply, add {{reply to|Eyer}} to your message to let me know.) 23:12, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
Disregard. I just blanket-removed a bunch of unsourced content. We'll see if it gets added back with citations. —Eyer (If you reply, add {{reply to|Eyer}} to your message to let me know.) 23:17, 13 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
