Oreocinola?

Is Zoothera and Oreocinola the same? I have a description of a bird, where its Latin name is Oerocinola dauma aurea, and it seems to agree with Zoothera dauma aurea. Yenx 19:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Google gives only one(!) reference for Oreocinola 1 The bird as described is not White's Thrush, which is about 10 inches long, is not an oriole, has similar plumage patterns above and below, and does noy have obvious eye stripes. Its song is a monotonous whistle, striking rather than melodic. jimfbleak 05:19, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

It's correctly Oreocincla, apparently an obsolete "wastebin taxon" for Asian(?) thrushes. The reference to "Oreocinola" totally mixes it up - it means the hwamei which is not even close (the hwamei is as close to White's Thrush as is a sparrow - no matter whether European or American - to either).
