Bergh's first recordings were for Columbia, a series of violin solos dating from 1905. Ten years later he recorded salon-type music as pianist of a trio including violinist George Stehl and cellist Albert W. Taylor, still for Columbia. Emerson started his company in or around 1916, and its heydays were largely over by the mid-twenties, by which time Bergh had returned to Columbia - probably Emerson, for lack of classical repertoire in their catalogue, didn't need a full-time classical conductor and accompanist on their roster any more! 88.74.195.119 (talk) 16:56, 16 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
