[edit]The coordinates in the article are pointing to the ocean and no island nearby had a name that matches this.
I was able to find on geonames a place called Assoué that might be a match at 16 31S, 167 49E, and it is roughly in the right location (among the Maskelyne islands), however due to the limited precision given for the coordinates I can't tell its exact location. - Was able to located this island, it appears that it is also known as Ile Faroun, corrected the coordinates to point to the correct place Giuliotf (talk) 17:36, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
