Validity Data

I re-added the detailed validity data that Grayfell removed on 25 March 2019 because it was from primary sources and data and was more detailed than the information he replaced it with. Yes, I cited one of my own articles in the section, but I cited two other books not authored by me to prevent excessive self-citation. Cassmus (talk) 18:56, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

Your edit presented your own study as significant without any secondary support. Wikipedia strongly favors WP:SECONDARY sources. Do not add WP:EDITORIALIZING language, also. Do not re-add this until consensus has been formed. Grayfell (talk) 19:48, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

Rationale: The Army Beta article currently lacks an External Links section. The Yoakum and Yerkes 1920 Internet Archive scan is the primary public-domain source for the Beta non-verbal test (originally administered to non-English-speaking and illiterate WWI recruits). A transcribed companion with attribution back to the Internet Archive source benefits researchers.

Per WP:ELNO I confirm:

• The link is to a free, public-domain resource (not paywalled).
• The link is a substantive supplement to the article, not a duplicate of content already linked.
• The link is not primarily promotional - it is an archive of the historical instrument.
• If an independent editor judges this fails ELNO, please decline this request and I will not re-post.

Hi Baycanemir, and thank you for your suggestion. I am declining this edit request for the same reasons I gave at Talk:Bender-Gestalt Test. Other editors are free to add the Internet Archive link if they wish, but I see no reason to include a link to whats-your-iq.com. Altamel (talk) 15:20, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi Altamel, thank you for the review. I have posted a substantive reply to the decline reasoning at Talk:Bender-Gestalt Test#Edit request: External Links section addition (1938 monograph) (specifically addressing the WP:ELNO #5 finding and offering to adjust the source page UI).
