Threat category

[edit]

I removed the "threat category" icon because it seemed out of place. It's good in the taxobox, not so good embedded in the text. KarlM 00:03, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redirects

[edit]

I redirected Silver Sword (botany) to this page. I combined Silver Sword (Botany) with Heleakala Silversword. Then I added a see also at the top of this page. (Blu3d3vil 14:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC))Reply

Blooming

[edit]

Can someone add sourced and accurate information about the blooming of this plant? That is, both when it blooms and how long it stays in bloom. I've heard things like it blooms in June or around the Summer Soltice or such. I've also heard that it blooms only once in its lifetime, or once in 50 years. Accurate information would be helpful. Thanks. Softlavender (talk) 11:47, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

The different Argyroxiphium species bloom at different times, so you can't make a general statement about them. KarlM (talk) 23:04, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
1. What are the "different times" involved?
2. How many times does each species bloom?
3. Does each species die after blooming?
4. How long does each species live?
I would appreciate it if someone who has reliable texts on these species to add that information to the article, with citations. Thank you very much! Softlavender (talk) 04:36, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Good introduction to the subject, but in need of expansion. See also Silversword alliance. Viriditas | Talk 07:25, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
