Western boundary

[edit]

This article and the accompanying map claim that the archdiocese covers the entirety of Sandoval, Bernalillo, and Valencia counties. However, the 1939 papal bull Ad bonum animarum gave "parts of the civil counties of Los Alamos, Sandoval, Bernalillo, and Valencia, along the meridian line 106°, 52', 41" west longitude" to the Diocese of Gallup. A 1978 article in the Records of the American Catholic Historical Society of Philadelphia doesn't record any changes that would've conformed the boundary to county lines in this area. The archdiocese has also published a crude map of deaneries that suggests the meridian line is still the diocesan boundary, rather than the Sandoval/Bernalillo/Valencia county line.
