Map

[edit]

@Skitash this map claims that more than 90% of the population of Morocco and Algeria are Arabs, whereas non-Arabs (Berbers) form much more than 10% of their respective populations. In Morocco 10% of the population cannot speak Darija (let alone fus7a), for crying out loud! (http://rgphentableaux.hcp.ma/Default1/) Shoshin000 (talk) 14:17, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

This map does not depict the percentages of Arabs but rather the percentages of Muslims in each Arab League member state. As you can see, Somalia is shown in dark green when there are only about 30,000 Arabs there. It appears that the map is using "Arab" as a broad demonym for citizens of Arab League countries. This is indeed confusing, and the infobox caption should've made this clearer to prevent any misunderstanding. Skitash (talk) 14:56, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
