Most of the pdf links in the references are broken. Does anybody know why? or simply what are the new URLs? Jmdg (talk) 14:53, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kerberized

[edit]

"For services that are not Kerberized, the Password..." We should let slip the hell hound on whoever verbs "Kerberos." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.188.243.104 (talk) 16:10, 19 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Open Directory Issues

[edit]

Should there be a section in here talking about all the issues people run into with open directory? (this isn't really out in the open so much, but as someone who runs 5 computer labs with over 1800 combined issues, I can tell you OD likes to crap out a lot, confusing which group folder it should default to, which group prefs a user should use, which group a user should be in, dropping users out of groups, not letting you re add or add any users to these groups once this happens). It's not just me either. Every other os x admin I have talked to experiences these issues. The solution usually involves backing up OD, and then restoring it back to the server. Sometimes this won't even fix it in which case OD must be rebuilt from scratch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WBG4 (talkcontribs) 20:57, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Source model

[edit]

Is Apple Open Directory open source or propriety? the article doesn't mention anywhere, I assume with a name like Open___ it would be open source, but this seems not to be the case can't find any source code anywhere on net. Am I just not looking in the right places, or is its name misleading, either way I think this distinction should be made in the article. 86.151.161.33 (talk) 21:45, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
