class Ic contraindicated not just immediately post-MI but with any CAD, ischemia, maybe other heart disease, because of proarrythmic potential. Based on CAST trial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.204.240.86 (talk) 05:56, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The second image relating myocte action to an ECG Sinus rhythm Lead II waveform is inaccurate. The action potential stages and influx and efflux happen in each cell, e.g. the stage of the action potential for the atria includes the P wave and the hidden atrial repolarization behind the QRS. If the ECG only showed the Q,R,S, and T waves then it would be fine.

Moricizine is a dirty class 1, and is closer to a class 1A than 1C. It is considered a class 1A clinically and it shouldn't be listed as a class 1C. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.236.180 (talk) 08:45, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

This line: Cardiac anti-arrhythmia drugs are known to have "cost more American lives than the Vietnam War".[1] seems very out of place, seems very emotive and not factual in anyway, an exact number should be used with a better reference if this is the case. Should this be included in an Adverse Drug Reaction section? A section on ADR is missing from this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spannell (talkcontribs) 06:28, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Beta Blocker Uses

The statement that beta blockers "Decrease mortality in patients with myocardial infarction" has come into question in recent years. Recent studies shows the benefit is likely only in a subset of patients with reduced ejection fraction. Pkirvan (talk) 15:15, 31 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
