Please be patient with me. This is my first biographical entry in Wikipedia. Anne Edwards has written many biographies of celebrities, and in my opinion, she should have her own Wikipedia entry.

Suggested clarification regarding Gone With the Wind sequel project

Disclosure: I am Anne Edwards’ daughter and therefore have a conflict-of-interest connection to the subject. I am proposing this clarification based on published secondary sources.

The current wording could be read as implying that Edwards’ unpublished Gone With the Wind sequel manuscript itself failed or caused the sequel project to collapse.

Published sources indicate that Zanuck and Brown were initially pleased with Edwards’ manuscript and subsequently brought in James Goldman for screenplay adaptation. Those same sources attribute the eventual collapse of the broader sequel project to screenplay-development and film-rights disputes involving MGM, Universal, Zanuck/Brown, and the Margaret Mitchell estate.

I would therefore suggest revising the paragraph to reflect the broader production history more accurately.
