Which happened to be the most viewed hook of the month, and which followed a trans hook being that in March and a porn hook being that in February. This probably won't be May's because there's no image, but I doubt our readers will mind. (Perhaps "trans" can go - the interesting bit is that it was posthumous.) I don't know if this belongs in the article, but https://avn.com/news/video/friends-colleagues-mourn-angelina-please-173032 says "One of the best illustrations of Please’s kind heart occurred over the winter, when a close friend was battling a life-threatening drug addiction. Jane and Brooks both told AVN that Please researched various rehabilitation centers before finding one in Portland that she deemed to be a good fit. Please then launched a GoFundMe campaign that covered most of the costs, and she used money out of her own pocket to pay the remaining balance. The friend is scheduled to be released from the facility on Friday after successfully completing the program. “She even flew to Portland to check her in and to make sure everything went OK,” Jane said. “She saw the whole thing through. We've had complaints in the past about running too many Jilly Cooper, Taylor Swift, opera, radio, etc. hooks in a short amount of time, having similar hooks run close to each other would just invite similar complaints. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 07:09, 4 May 2026 (UTC)

The Jilly Cooper complaints started with Wikipedia talk:Did you know/Archive 206#Excessive promotion of Jilly Cooper, which mentions 16 nominations in two months, and the Taylor Swift complaints started with Wikipedia talk:Did you know/Archive 188#The Taylor Swiftipedia? US Radio Stations?Abuse of DYK privileges., which followed four mostly very boring hooks in five days. This surely isn't running much before the end of the month. Hooks can be about pornographic actors, but they don't necessarily have to be specifically about their careers, just like hooks about opera performers do not necessarily need to be about them doing opera. I'm not against us running porn-related hooks, but it does feel "cheap" or at least low-effort to keep emphasizing the porn aspect, instead of writing hooks about people who just happen to do porn. Would you be okay then with something like: ALT0a ... that pornographic actress Angelina Please was nominated for an award after her death at 24? I'm not as comfortable about the hook focusing on her doing porn or her being trans specifically, but I'm not against saying she was a porn actress, especially if the main hook fact was her posthumous nomination, and not that it was a pornographic award specifically. The only issue is the vagueness, but if the hook fact is being posthumously nominated at such a young age, then the specific kind of award doesn't really matter for DYK purposes. • The article was nominated within a week of creation. It is long enough, adequately sourced, and free from close paraphrasing. A QPQ has been done. The article uses the New York Post as a source; per WP:NYPOST, it is flagged as a red source except for entertainment, where it may be allowed on a case-by-case basis, and not for BLPs. As the source is deceased, BLP doesn't apply, but the case is marginal enough that I would recommend removing it anyway, especially when there's already the Yahoo News link. Neither ALT0 nor ALT0a's hook fact is actually directly supported by the source (XBiz): the article and hook claim that she received a posthumous award, but the source says it was her film that was nominated. For now, I've dealt with the text-source integrity issue and propose ALT0b: ... that scenes featuring pornographic actress Angelina Please were nominated for awards after her death at 24?. Turns out the birthdate wasn't in New York Post either; removed that source completely. ALT0b is less interesting but not uninteresting; the 'hook' remains the early death. Hi Launchballer. Thanks for your work on this DYK. I know I still have much to learn about Wikipedia rules. There is an obituary who is clearly Montalbano, but I do not know if this would be proper for Wikipedia. GA Potential?

Very sorry to ping you @Launchballer but I've been looking over this article and I've been thinking about if it might have some GA potential. I don't know if this is a proper place to ask, and sorry if it's not, but I wanted to see if you have any thoughts of where this article may be lacking?
