@Actualcpscm: I wonder if the hook should include "former Chancellor of Germany" as a qualifier? Merkel was also the first female Chancellor of Germany. Why is Merkel article protected?

I am new here and would like to know why some information was semi-protected (asked for in Aug 2025) as above in particular , and why I cant alter anything in Merkel’s article in general.

I see a blatant error and I cant fix it.

Can I ask who determines what goes into this article or not?

How does one get access to altering this article?

The article is probably protected, because of vandalism or copyright violations. Describe the error you found in the article and ask the users with confirmed rights to correct. Grimes2 15:35, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. I am not actually new; I have been on wiki before , but not frequently.
