WWII unofficial all-star games?

Under the baseball event section, there is a claim that Angel Stadium hosted two all-star games during WWII. I can find no evidence of that. I'm tempted to remove it, but thought I'd open a discussion here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zukkie44 (talk • contribs) 15:48, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think you misread the article. It meant that the 1967 all star game was the first time an all star game was held at night since WWII. It never said that Angel Stadium hosted an all star game during WWII. It didn't even exist at that time. CrispyCream27 (talk) 05:52, 16 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

It seems to me that the name of the stadium is now officially just "Angel Stadium" with Moreno taking control of the site. The "of" has been painted over in the front of the stadium although the "Anaheim" remains. This might be a "quiet" name change in the same way dropping the "of Anaheim" was for the team name back in 2015-2016. It's hard to tell without getting the new 2020 media guide, but, well, it's hard to get one with the COVID-19 situation. --2600:8802:500:4BF:8419:31E0:7D2:743E (talk) 07:48, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
