I got redirected to a page that I did not expected.

Hello Dear Wikipedian,

I was searching around for the forensic analysis of signatures and I got redirected to Analog signature analysis. :(

P.S. I did not repair the inconvenience that I coincidently happend to me, because I fear that this needs more discussion before any actions are made.

Thank you for your report. This kind of surprise is so common that there are already standard ways of fixing it. I've already done step 1 of fixing it -- adding a hatnote.

Did you ever find the Wikipedia article that you expected? If so, what specifically is the title of that article?

Following the guidelines at WP:RASTONISH and WP:ASTONISH for dealing with such surprises, I added a hatnote to this article linking to graphanalysis, which I hope partially repairs that inconvenience.

(1) I'm guessing you expected to end up at the same place graphanalysis redirects to. Is signature forgery (or some other article) is closer to where you expected to end up? If so, please update the hatnote in *this* article to link there instead.

(2) Are the majority of readers searching for signature analysis better served by some other article? Then, in accordance with the WP:Disambiguation guideline, we should re-point that redirect to go directly to that other article. (Then leave a hatnote on *that* article, linking to *this* article, to help the minority of readers that actually are looking for this article).
