Was Anable the son-in-law, or the nephew, of Nott...

[edit]

Some sources say son-in-law, others nephew. From my reading nephew is more credible. Anable's wife's maiden name? It's not Nott.

One of the early documents said Anable was the son of Nott's wife's sister, but it was phrased awkwardly, and I suspect this is the passage that some later sources misinterpreted. Geo Swan (talk) 03:33, 20 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

It was the words used by this reference which is now a dead link. I would consider the "300 years" book to be more accurate, which states what you said --- "his young nephew ... the son of his wife's sister". --Voidvector (talk) 01:42, 21 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
