"Ein" "Meem" "Ra" make up "Umar". Add a "Wao" (not "Aleph") and you get "Amr". Check the various personalities listed on the page and you will see that this is in fact true. Sometimes "Amr" is translitered as "Amro" (as seen on old Amr Diab album covers).

This is wrong, the name in Arabic is not written Amro but عَمْرِو, Amriw, as can be seen in this hadith: https://sunnah.com/bukhari:3849. Of course, it is pronounced amr, due to the waw being an example of واو معدولة, waw ma'dula. This should be corrected in the article. Daniel222potato (talk) 02:03, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
