The first senate of American Samoa was organized in 1948, with 12 members, while the territory was still governed by the Navy. In 1952, under the Department of the Interior, the senate was expanded to 15 members. This number was also kept by the first constitution of American Samoa, adopted in 1960. The current constitution, adopted in 1967, expanded the senate to 18 members, who began their first term in 1969. @Mpen320: Hello. I saw that you recently changed the table of senators, copying it from the Fono website. However, the district numbers and county names there are slightly inaccurate. The relevant law assigns district 3 as Sa‘ole, and district 4 as Vaifanua, while the Fono website inverts them. Also, the Fono website lists Manu‘a, which is actually composed of five counties. I changed these numbers and names back to match the law, and I adjusted the spelling of some other county names to match the census and other Wikipedia articles. I also merged the lines with the same districts and counties to clarify that there are multiple senators representing the same area, and added a wikilink to the president of the senate.
