Merger proposal
[edit]Formal request has been received to merge Alum Bluff Formation into Alum Bluff Group; dated: July 2018. Proposer's Rationale: Alum Bluff Formation was elevated to group status as recorded in the history of publication by the USGS (https://ngmdb.usgs.gov/Geolex/UnitRefs/AlumBluffRefs_79.html). The references used on the Alum Bluff Formation article are the same as those that could be used for the Alum Bluff Group. The Alum Bluff Formation article as uses Group/Formation interchangeably.
