The response under "how long should I take allopurinol" wasn't meant to be medical advice but reading it again it seems like it was. This was because of phrasing or an incomplete sentence, where in the material it says "allopurinol is only effective while taking it" which means it is taken for the rest of their life. The misphrasing was that the information should go onto the main page about the duration of taking the drug
