POV Tag

I'm doing POV tag cleanup. Whenever an POV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. This is a drive-by tag, which is discouraged in WP, and it shall be removed. Future tags should have discussion posted as to why the tag was placed, and how the topic might be improved. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements. This statement is not a judgement of content, it is only a cleanup of frivolously and/or arbitrarily placed tags. No discussion, no tag.Jjdon (talk) 19:06, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

I've put a POV tag back on this article. One example that nailed it for me: "...should be viewed as three expressions of a singular life philosophy...." Seems to me that an encyclopedia should not be declaring how things should be viewed.

That quote is in the middle of a large block of unsourced vitriolic about this guy. POV makes a lot of sense here. Agree, it was written as a personal essay rather than an encyclopedia entry. I did a copyedit to bring it in line with our policies. You can un-tag if you agree. - LuckyLouie (talk) 14:52, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

LSD Was Not A Soviet Technology

LSD was not an "alleged" Soviet chemical technology. It was originally a Greman fascist technology. LSD was used to turn progressive youth away from the powerful science of Marxism Leninism. Dosing?

The body of the article contains almost no information about Hubbard dosing people with LSD, other than one sentence at the end stating that he did. It describes how he believed that LSD would help improve humanity, but not how he went from his meeting with Timothy Leary and trading LSD for shrooms to dosing 6000 people. Were the recipients of the drug willing or even aware of what they were taking or did Hubbard dose them secretly? What was their reaction? Were there any consequences for Hubbard? Did he act alone or was this a coordinated effort? There are a LOT of questions here.
