Explain Birth Year

[edit]

I've used 1761, while the web seems equally divided btween 1761 and 1762. A descendant, William Marshall Bullitt, wrote an autobiography that used 1762. Church records in Virginia list him as baptized in early January, 1762. The concern was that his parents married in late summer of 1761. I've used 1761 (December but date unknown) based on a short sketch of his father written by Inman Horner and published as "Cuthbert Bullitt", in the William and Mary Quarterly, 2nd Series, #2, (1922). Comment here or my talk page. Thanks, Lou I 11:23, 25 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
