It states in Early Life, that Alex Rodriguez was the first HS player to TRY OUT for the US national team in 1993. That is false. In the fall of 1983, my brother, Larry Hageman, senior in HS, attended a tryout at Seton Hall, for the US national team for the 84 Olympics. He made the first cut, and made it to the game phase. Does "American League Batting Champion" belong in the same grouping as "Championships earned or shared"? It is not typical for baseball fans or analysts to list personal accomplishments in the same grouping as team accomplishments.
