Personal life section

I don't think it's accurate where it says "expertly hit targets...from 264 yards" with a BUL Armory SAS II Bullesteros 9mm competition pistol. Accurately hitting targets at 264 yards with a pistol is not possible as a far as I know but I may be wrong. 24.69.82.217 (talk) 00:12, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

That's what the NY Times article says, and it includes a photo of him shooting that BUL. Personally I would need a rifle with a scope adjusted for the distance, but hickok45 has posted videos of himself accurately shooting pistols at 200 yards. Regardless, if this isn't right then rather than insert our own opinions we'd need to find a correction in a reliable source, like in the cited NYT article where he corrects a previous interviewer who mixed up tai chi and qigong. Dubious tag needs added

To the claim about hitting a target at 264 yards with a 9mm. Regardless of whether or not a reporter wrote it down, it is well beyond any effective range for a 9mm, and even professional shooters usually only shoot around 100m. Also none of the cited sources make the claim that he is 'highly skilled with a handgun', only the single dubious claim about hitting a target well outside effective range. ~2025-36229-94 (talk) 07:56, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Is the full quote from Clash of Civilizations by Samuel P. Huntington. In the views section the last sentence is attributed to Alex Karp. either this is a concerted effort to discredit dr karp for his political views that you disagree with or you cannot read and in either case not understanding why you would have the permission to edit this article as a matter of preserving the dignity of the people mentioned by preventing vandalism because you are intentionally or unintentionally committing it.

The section from the style guide you are quoting contains a word underlined ("above") which redirects to the topic this rule pertains to which is "nicknames" as in if you wanted to include "dr karp" as a nickname in the title, for example, Alexander "Dr Karp" Karp. This is not what i am saying to you.

The appropriate rule is, "The lead sentence should be concise: Academic (including honorary) degrees and professional qualifications may be mentioned in the article, along with the above, but should be omitted from the lead."

At any rate, the relevant style guideline here is MOS:SURNAME, which prescribes as follows: "After the initial mention, a person should generally be referred to by surname only – without an honorific prefix such as "Mr.", "Mrs.", or "Ms.", and without academic or professional prefixes like "Dr.", "Prof.", "Rev.", etc. – or may be referred to by a personal pronoun." Controversies

I feel like there should be a piece on some thing he said that gained worldwide attention. There's sometimes combative rhetoric being used towards citics by him. He has characterized some critics of Palantir's as people who "believe we should appease Iran, Russia and China".

During debates over pro-Palestinian campus protests in 2024 Karp described some protesters as adherents of a "new form of pagan religion". In a separate exchange when questioned about whether Palantir's technology was involved in the killing of "most Palestinians" Karp responded that Palantir "kills terrorists".

The joke about using drone strikes against business rivals, which generated controversy among observers was something that gained worldwide attention too.
