Overall: I genuinely quite scared that you'll respond to this review with another wall of text. I'm approving the hook and the first picture. One minor question: Shouldn't it be "Devor left her job as a Google software engineer"? Just a simply yes or no answer, don't give me another essay. Please! 1timeuse75 (talk) 13:45, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

For the record I was joking about the "long essays" thing. Overall I find this DYK really good and interest! 1timeuse75 (talk) 13:49, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

@1timeuse75: Hi, I'm writing about the edit of 30 Sep 2026. Thanks for your attempt to improve the article, but I'm afraid I disagree with much of it, so this is to explain why.

First, you moved the body images to the right, where the infobox pushes them down below the article text. You did this "per MOS:SANDWICH", but you may not have noticed the active discussion about MOS:SANDWICH going on right now; it's specifically discussing the long infobox case where that pushes the images below the relevant text, which is exactly what is happening here, by that edit the images are being pushed out of the article text entirely. In this specific case that is not an improvement.

Second, you marked the Google Cloud Tech interview "non-primary source needed". That's not correct. This is the official YouTube channel of Google Cloud. It's being used for the interviewer's statement "She spent six plus years as an engineer at Google" at 0:13, and the subject's expanding at 1:16-1:33 "I started at Google straight out of school. I was originally working on Google Maps. I was doing mostly data infrastructure type of work, and then I moved over to YouTube and I was working originally in educational features in YouTube. And then I got brought into a really cool area called YouTube labs..." That is perfectly fine to back the sentence "She first worked on Google Maps data infrastructure, then on YouTube Labs features", per WP:BLPSPS, "statements spoken by an article subject such as in interviews...". Now "worked for Google" may be seen as a "self-serving" flex, but that part is specified by the interviewer, who is an official Google representative. Given that, her specifying what specific parts of Google she worked for is not self-serving.

Third, you marked the "WeGotThisCovered" article about "one about how her insurance company's AI denied her claim" as "insufficiently reliable". That's a professional website, "a news site for film, TV, comics, and entertainment culture" according to our article about it, not a self-published source, and not in any way connected to the subject. I don't see it anywhere on WP:RSNP one way or the other, but it's not being used for anything controversial, just for that the video exists, and says what it does; it does, here is a link to the video itself, https://www.instagram.com/reels/C5tNFRTuzrX/ and "AI denied my medical claim" is right there, it's the first caption in the first couple of seconds. So the source is not being cited for anything that can be reasonably disputed, and for that it is sufficiently reliable. But since you doubt it, I'll add the link to the video itself.

Fourth you are removing the subject's LinkedIn video, apparently because it is a LinkedIn video. That's again fine per WP:BLPSPS as it's not being used for anything debatable except for specifying the date at which she left Google to become a full time content creator. The fact that she did leave Google to become a full time content creator is backed by the Bell "Mashable" source (and, honestly, also by the Google Cloud Tech source, I should probably add that there as well since I see you're disputing it), but this post is used to cite the date (May 2026) at which she announced it; the Bell and Google Cloud Tech sources (both in July 2026) don't specify, just implies it was recent.

So, I'm going to change these parts in this way per this explanation. The part at the top where you specify that her sobriquets of alberta.nyc and Alberta Tech are specifically online is fine, leaving that. Thank you for your help, I am glad you are interested in the article. --GRuban (talk) 13:29, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

I have no words. What do you want me to say? 1timeuse75 (talk) 13:32, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
