• I actually hoped to expand it much more before a DYK nomination. But also, I'm not going to oppose a nomination at this stage. I still want to suggest a couple more alts though:

• New from redirect, long and interesting, well-written with no plagiarism or AI writing as far as I can discern. Hooks verified. QPQ done. My concern: ALT2 is by far the most interesting, but ineligible, at over 200 characters long -- may we have a contracted version? Consider "Singapore's Goh Keng Swee never raised proposals for a looser federation in talks with the Malaysian leaders" (we don't need his exact title in the hook; "confederation" is one of the forms of a looser federation; I have added "in talks" to clarify that the federation was not one between the leaders; ALT 1, btw, is also very long).
