Editing subject to remove ABOUTSELF material

This article was in part a spin-off from a now deleted article on Bill Fairclough (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bill Fairclough (2nd nomination). The chief source of the material there - and in this article - was an interview with RTVE's regular Saturday evening programme on RTVE Radio 5. This interview with Fairclough, and Fairclough's books are self published and thus covered by WP:ABOUTSELF and WP:EXCEPTIONAL. What has happen in this Permberton article is that the work of the respected New Statesman journalist Duncan Campbell has been merged with the Fairclough material. However Campbell has never mentioned Fairclough nor used the term "Pemberton's People", which forms part of the RTVE and Fairclough book. Furthermore some of the people named here are still alive and thus covered by the WP:BLP provisions. One person that Duncan did name, and is now deceased, is Anderson. I've therefore removed the Fairclough material and reduced the list of names to that of Anderson. In any event, this article is about the subject, rather than anyone else. The core Pemberton article remains valid, and the subject is clearly notable. ChrysGalley (talk) 13:27, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
