Jewish

[edit]

Is being Jewish that important to his career and life as it pertains to Wikipedia that it needs to be in the lead ahead of his career choices? Kolindigo 17:09, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:Kolindigo is he jewish or not? Jaakobou 17:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have no idea, but other users certainly think so. ;) I have no objection to putting his religion in the lead, but I'm curious if it's major enough to be put before everything else. Kolindigo 18:22, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
where is it customary to register a person's ethnicity on wikipedia? Jaakobou 18:41, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

medal country

[edit]

User:Kolindigo, can you please explain this edit? Jaakobou 18:46, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

From Template:MedalCountry: This template should be used for athletes who have competed for different countries. Calmat has competed only for France, so there's no need to declare his country in the medal table. Kolindigo 18:58, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
you'll have to explain Mark Spitz for me then... or Misty Hyman or Jodie Henry. Jaakobou 19:04, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

jew/jewish

[edit]

i'm not an english teacher, but in my opinion it should either be jewish french, or french jew... to the best of my knowledge, once you combine both french and jewish as "french jewish" it does not apply to a singular person anymore but rather to a jewish matter. a google inspection showed my feeling was correct, however, i'm not planning on making any more of this since i don't have the credentials to fully back up this statement of mine.
