Akatarawa in Maori means "Place of the trailing vines".

Move to Akatarawa?

[edit]

I wonder if this page should move to Akatarawa because it seems to be wanting to move out of the valley of the Akatarawa River itself and is trying to travel all the way along the road between Waikanae and Upper Hutt. To me it would make sense to develop an Akatarawa article about the name and locality and then deal with the valley within it, rather than having two articles that later need to be merged. Does anybody object to this? - Cameron Dewe (talk) 12:09, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
