  • Does the external link to commercial website goodschoolsguide.co.uk really add value? - might be used as ref rather, for example replacing [1]
  • Aiglon is a member of the Swiss State of Vaud Swiss private school association - member page has details.[3]
  • I have seen quite a few articles in leading newspapers about a controversy in early 2000. I guess this has been discussed and left aside on purpose (?).

Redirecting John C. Corlette here

[edit]

Copied from Talk at John C. Corlette: I'm going to redirect this article to Aiglon College, so I'm putting my rationale and the references I have found here. I'll add them to the Aiglon College Talk page too.

I have carried out WP:BEFORE and not found significant, independent coverage of Corlette in reliable sources.

  • This covers him in detail, but is on the college's website.
  • This is significant coverage of him, but in the context of the school, and I'm not convinced that Gulf News does not include paid-for articles (the site is unclear on this).
  • This is a book, but self-published and looks as if it was published by the college.
  • This is an independent source, but brief and no significant coverage.
  • This is another independent source, but also brief.

Not done It is not a valid reliable source. Please provide a valid reliable source which specifically mentions the area of the school. It should be a secondary source per Wikipedia:Reliable sources. VerdictByLogic - Let's Discuss 08:15, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your feedback.
Here is a revised version with a reliable secondary source:
Change the "Campus" section to:
Aiglon's campus consists of approximately 40 different buildings and chalets spread across approximately 60,000 m². The school has eight senior boarding houses and two junior houses. The village campus is a combination of existing chalets and renovated hotels joined with purpose-built buildings.
In August 2025, a new main building was inaugurated, marking the conclusion of the school’s 75th anniversary celebrations.[1] PeterMcKinsey (talk) 10:49, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Not done Aiglon's campus consists of approximately 40 different buildings and chalets spread across approximately 60,000 m². The school has eight senior boarding houses and two junior houses. The village campus is a combination of existing chalets and renovated hotels joined with purpose-built buildings. This specific passage is already there in the article.
The citation for the last line 'In August 2025...' says 'will expand' rather than expanded. Thus, if you get any citation where it clearly says that its done*, I'll definitely put it. Thank you. Regards, VerdictByLogic - Let's Discuss 11:34, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your reply.
I have found a source on the school's official website confirming that the Moghadam Campus Hub was opened in August 2025:
https://www.aiglon.ch/community/aiglon-society-of-the-arts
The page explicitly states that the building “was opened in August 2025”.
Would this be sufficient to support the addition, or would you still prefer an independent secondary source? PeterMcKinsey (talk) 11:48, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
It would be better if you provide an independent secondary source. This will be considered as promotional, if we link the schools website itself. I hope you understand. Thank you. Regards, VerdictByLogic - Let's Discuss 12:01, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
