- ... that the upcoming television series Agent Kim Reactivated is based on a webtoon that serves as a spin-off to Lookism?

Article is new enough and long enough. This is the nominator's first nomination so no QPQ is required. Earwig finds a match with this page; I presume Wikipedia copied from the article rather than the other way around since that page post-dates the article but out of an abundance of precaution I would suggest rewriting the plot section. The hook as currently written might not be interesting to a broad audience since 1. series being based on spin-offs, or series being spin-offs is very common, and 2. the hook mainly interests Lookism fans and not general readers. I would suggest proposing additional hooks before this nomination can continue. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 07:46, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the review! I have completely rewritten the synopsis to ensure it is 100% distinct. To address the hook interest for a broader audience, here's the alternative I'm proposing:
- ALT1: ... that media outlets have compared the titular character of the upcoming television series Agent Kim Reactivated to Bryan Mills from the action film Taken?
- Let me know if this work better! ꕥ 𝙳.𝟷𝟾𝚝𝚑 ꕥ →𝙼𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚊𝚐𝚎 𝚖𝚎← 09:28, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- To be honest, it's a better hook but probably still not interesting, mainly because for non-film buffs or those otherwise unfamiliar with Taken, it's not very interesting either. My suggestion would be to try proposing a hook that isn't a comparison. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 02:00, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback. I'd like to try one final alternative hook:

- ALT2: ... the titular character of the upcoming television series Agent Kim Reactivated is a savings bank employee who is secretly a former secret intelligence agent?
- If this still doesn't quite meet the threshold for broad appeal, I will likely withdraw the nomination. ꕥ 𝙳.𝟷𝟾𝚝𝚑 ꕥ →𝙼𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚊𝚐𝚎 𝚖𝚎← 03:16, 14 June 2026 (UTC)
- The issue with that hook is that it violates WP:DYKFICTION. That is, it is about an in-universe fact (in this case, about the main character's jobs) that does not have a connection to the real world. That hook cannot run because it is about a plot point. - I think ALT1 is good, but I would shorten it to ALT1b: ... that Agent Kim Reactivated was described as the Korean Taken?
- How about ALT3: ... although the Korean titles of The Dream Life of Mr. Kim and Agent Kim Reactivated are similar, they are completely different genres? (source) You need to find a way to incorporate this to the article though.
- ALT4: ... that Agent Kim Reactivated is So Ji-sub's first SBS drama appearance in 13 years? source
- Or you can wait until the drama airs on June 26 and make a hook based on the reviews from the general public or critics. There is time before the hook is timed out (July 30).

- Right now, only ALT1b is the only usable angle here, but it would need to be attributed: who said it? If it was one critic, it should say "that a critic described...". Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 01:12, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

- ALT5: ... that a critic for MovieWeb described Agent Kim Reactivated as a blend of Taken and John Wick?
I'm torn on ALT5 so asking another editor to make the final decision. Note that only ALT5 is under consideration as the others have issues. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 12:14, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
Giving a tick to ALT5a: ... that a critic described Agent Kim Reactivated as a blend of Taken and John Wick? I don't think it's necessary to name the media outlet in this case. Relying on the earlier review for other criteria and assessing hook only. Dclemens1971 (talk) 15:09, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
