Number of species?
[edit]The article says that there were 65 species which were named, but I only count 62 in the paper. I suspect there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the line, where "62 total" became "62 other", with someone not believing that the Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld beetles were included in the count, thus 62+3=65.
Can someone else confirm this, just in case I've miscounted? Thanks. —ΨΦorg 14:00, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Appropriate application of nomenclature?
[edit]Would someone please explain how it is appropriate to denominate a slime-mold beetle in Leiodidae after Mr. Rumsfeld? Analogous behavioral characteristics notwithstanding, concern should be for effects of this designation on self-esteem (and directional mutation?) in generational iterations of Agathidium. A less damaging and more exact assignation may be to a member of Scarabaeidae. Comments? Thanks. —forestflyer (talk) 06:50, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Was someone using the "See also" section to compare these political figures to Hitler? I see no other connection, since the beetle isn't even in the same genus.
