Not all terms for blacks given?

There's a lot more pejoratives for black Americans than negroes. Can't we use the other ones? They have their own articles. ~2026-53805-7 (talk) 11:39, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

Incorrect Religion Info

The religious demographics given for African Americans in the beginning of this Wikipedia article states that 4% of African Americans are Muslim, and uses a Pew Research article from 2025 as a citation/reference (reference 2). However, this is wrong.

If you click on the cited article (“Key Facts About Black Americans and Religion”), it states in the second paragraph “Here are key facts about Black Americans and religion, based on Pew Research Center’s 2023-24 Religious Landscape Study (RLS)”. Now, according to the 2023-24 Religious Landscape Study, the statistic is not that 4% of African Americans are Muslim but rather that 4% of African Americans “identify with other religions” (and it goes on to give a further breakdown of: 2% Muslim, 1% Something Else, <1% Jewish, <1% Buddhist, <1% Hindu, <1% Other world religions).

Cape Comfort is now known as Fort Monroe

I think the Old Point Comfort, Hampton, Virginia and Fort Monroe Wikipedia pages should be mentioned and linked to this page within this section: The first recorded Africans in English America (including most of the future United States) were "20 and odd negroes" who arrived in Jamestown, Virginia via Cape Comfort in August 1619 as indentured servants.

This page is missing that the area now known as Old Point Comfort is within the former military installation Fort Monroe, which is located in the independent city of Hampton, Virginia. Proverbial210 (talk) 14:31, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

World wars etc

I was reading through the History section, and it doesn't mention anything on WW1, WW2 or US military. There could be decent WP:PROPORTION reasons for this, but shouldn't there be something?
