COI edit request — neutral rewrite proposal

I am the subject of this article and not editing directly. I have prepared a neutral, sourced rewrite that resolves tone and sourcing issues in line with WP:BLP and WP:NPOV.

Specific edit requests – addressing COI/paid-contribution tags (per March 2026 guidance)

I am the subject of this article and am disclosing my conflict of interest. Following the guidance of BubbaJoe123456 in the previous declined edit request (March 2026), who asked for specific changes rather than a wholesale swap, I am providing individual, granular edit requests below. I am not editing the article directly. I am requesting that an uninvolved editor review and implement whichever of these they find appropriate.

The goal is to address the issues flagged by the {{COI}} and {{Paid contributions}} tags — specifically promotional tone, weak/primary sourcing, and non-neutral structure — so the article complies with WP:NPOV, WP:BLP, and WP:RS.

Request 1: Rewrite the lead paragraph for neutrality

Problem: The current lead contains a bulleted CV-style structure ("His career is focused on three areas: Entrepreneurship... Media... Finance...") with specific financial figures and production counts. This reads as a promotional résumé and violates WP:NPOV and WP:NOTCV.

Current text includes a bulleted list with "500 film & TV productions credited as producer" and "€650M ($730M) raised, managed and deployed in media financing", followed by an exhaustive list of eight films with cast names, festival premieres, and award nominations.

Proposed replacement (after the first sentence about being a BAFTA-nominated Swedish film producer):

He co-founded and was CEO of Umedia from 2004 to 2019. In 2019, he co-founded Align, a Los Angeles-based production and finance company, where he served as CEO until 2024 and currently serves as executive chairman. His producing credits include Academy Award winner The Artist (2011), Good Luck to You, Leo Grande (2022), the HBO series My Brilliant Friend, and Grace of Monaco (2014).

Rationale: Removes the bulleted list, removes unsourced production counts and financial figures from the lead, and replaces with a concise encyclopedic summary. All claims sourced to Deadline (Tartaglione, 2019), Funds Europe (March 2026), and Screen Daily (Macnab, 2025) — all independent reliable sources.

Request 2: Remove or source specific financial/production claims

Problem: The claims "500 film & TV productions" and "€650M ($730M) raised" appear in the lead sourced primarily to the Deadline 2019 article and the L'Echo 2024 article. The Deadline article from 2019 states "$150M fund" — it does not state 500 productions or €650M.

Proposed change: Remove both figures from the lead entirely. In the Career section, if an editor wishes to retain a version of the finance claim, it could read: "According to L'Echo, Align co-finances international English-language productions backed by institutional funds." sourced to Sacré, Jean-François (26 May 2024), L'Echo.

Request 3: Trim the film list in the lead

Problem: The lead currently lists eight films with extensive detail (cast names, festival premieres, award nominations). This is excessive for a lead section and reads as promotional. Per MOS:LEAD, the lead should summarize, not exhaustively list.

Proposed change: Reduce to 3–4 most notable films in the lead (The Artist, Good Luck to You Leo Grande, My Brilliant Friend, Grace of Monaco). The detailed festival/award information for each film is already covered on those films' own Wikipedia pages and in the filmography table.

Request 4: Trim the Personal life section

Problem: Several details are non-encyclopedic for this level of notability and/or poorly sourced:

• Grandfather names (Nurjahan Murshid, Khan Sarwar Murshid, Mieczyslaw Politowski) — unsourced
• Current partner described as "Swedish model/influencer Amanda Gyllensparv" — sourced to a weak reference
• Quote about "currently splits his time between Los Angeles, Brussels and Stockholm" — sourced to the Align company website (a primary source)

Proposed change: Remove grandfather names, remove the current partner detail, and remove the "splits his time" quote. Retain: birthplace (Stockholm), Polish and Bangladeshi heritage (sourced to Variety), Oxford education (sourced to Somerville College report), and marriage/divorce to Khamlichi (relevant as co-founder, sourced).

Request 5: Add new independent reliable sources

Problem: Several current references are weak or primary: Ratsit.se (Swedish business registry), Brokers Navigator, SCEEN IT, Kinorium, Align Group website, and Mulderville.net. These are not reliable sources for a BLP.

Proposed additions (all independent third-party sources covering Politowski/Align):

1. Funds Europe (4 March 2026): "Making movies – how specialist lenders are filling the funding gap" — institutional finance publication
2. Investment Officer (Luxembourg): "Luxembourg's financial script fuels global indie films" — financial press

Proposed removals/replacements:

• Remove Kinorium (refs 40, 52) — user-generated database; replace with existing Variety/THR reviews

Request 6: Remove unsupported board position

Problem: The Nordic Executive Medicine chairmanship is sourced only to Ratsit.se, a Swedish business registry. This is a primary source and the startup itself does not appear notable.

Proposed change: Remove the sentence "and is Chairman of Nordic Executive Medicine" and its Ratsit source. Retain the Goodbye Kansas board membership (sourced to the listed company's public governance page, standard for NASDAQ-listed companies).

Request 7: Clean up the infobox

Problem: The infobox includes "Partner: Amanda Gyllensparv (2020-present)" — non-encyclopedic personal detail. Also "Known for: Align Pictures" should read "Align" per the company's actual name in reliable sources.

Proposed change: Remove the "Partner" field. Correct "Align Pictures" to "Align".

Request 8: Reassess maintenance tags after cleanup

Once the above changes are implemented by an uninvolved editor, I respectfully request that the {{COI}} and {{Paid contributions}} tags be reassessed. The content issues they flag (promotional tone, weak sourcing, non-neutral structure) would have been substantially addressed by these specific changes.

The references instead have been placed outside of the text, bundled together towards the bottom. Your edit request similarly bundles references together outside of the area of the requested text.
