The Adjustable Bed Blog
[edit]I don't believe that this link just added http://www.bed-adjustable.co.uk/Blog_Adjustable_Bed_Medical_Beds/ meets the requirements of External Links, it is a blog but more importantly its a blog that really is a commercial web site for a company selling adjustable beds. Both listed in Links normally to be avoided --Captain-tucker (talk) 16:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
The information listed on http://vitalitymedical.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/hospital-beds-part-ii-%e2%80%93-what-you-need-to-know-before-you-get-yours/ was posted (with some small changes) to the Adjustable Bed page, but was removed shortly after posting. This information regarding hospital bed types and mattress specifications is very useful and comes from an industry expert. It is difficult to find this information from non-commercial sources. This information and link to the Vitality Medical blog should be allowed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reggiemed (talk • contribs) 22:57, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Boxspring without springs in Germany and Holland
[edit]Quote: (called "boxspring" in Germany and in Holland but seldom has any springs in it).
I believe this is erroneous and have therefore removed it. Maikel (talk) 08:25, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion to add recent utility patents to history/timeline
[edit]Suggestion to add recent utility patents to history/timeline
[edit]Hello. I am the inventor and holder of two recent USPTO utility patents regarding adjustable bed mechanisms. To keep the timeline and history of adjustable bed technology up to date, I would like to propose adding a brief mention of recent lateral positioning innovations.
Because I have a Conflict of Interest (COI) as the patent holder, I am submitting this request here for an independent editor to review and add rather than editing the main page myself.
Proposed text to add to the modern history section: In the 2020s, adjustable bed technology expanded beyond standard head- and foot-elevation to incorporate active lateral positioning mechanisms, allowing the sleep surface to shift sideways to assist with user positioning.[1][2]
Thank you to any editor who can review and implement this! ~2026-35594-18 (talk) 13:24, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
