Who is Charles Black?

[edit]

I had assumed that Charles Black (the "C" in A & C Black Publishers) was a brother, but perhaps he was a father, son, or cousin? Your article does not mention his partner, whatever the relationship. Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 18:19, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

its really interesting to read about this na , who, is, my great great great great grandfather from my father's fathers side, the other side of the family are decended from highlands of Scotland. My grandparents have passed away, taking what information I hadn't learnt from them, they had with them, so it's nice to be able to find out more about this ancient relative. 86.174.8.131 (talk) 09:00, 18 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Lord Provost

[edit]

The article currently says that Adam Black was twice Lord Provost of Edinburgh, but he appears only once on wikipedia's list of Lord Provosts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Provosts_of_Edinburgh#19th_century

Any reason for the discrepancy?  Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.215.72.88 (talk) 15:22, 6 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Too many pictures?

[edit]

I think that there are too many pictures on this article making it a bit messy, maybe they should be put in a gallery section? GoldenBootWizard276 (talk) 10:09, 27 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
