Do we need the full date of birth

[edit]

with biographies of living people I feel we should be cautious in giving the full date of birth. I think just giving the year of birth is sufficient detail in his case.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:17, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

WP:DOB requires it to have been widely published by RS, by the subject himself, or a source linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. I don't see any issues with the source used in the article but can only find one other RS. He had (still has?) an unverified Twitter account where he confirmed his dob, but no blue tick = not usable. The only other thing I could find was his listing at the British Boxing Board of Control website, which I believe is a close enough link that we can reasonably infer he doesn't object to it being published on their website (they issue his licence, preform medicals, sanction the fights etc.). The BBBofC source, with the DAZN and Desi source to supplement, would be enough to satisfy me. What are your thoughts? – 2.O.Boxing 06:22, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Long sections

[edit]

I'm fully aware the sections are quite long. He's not had a long career yet. I will personally shorten some sections as his career progresses. Mahussain06 (talk) 10:06, 13 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
