[edit]I came to this article after reading a current NY Times article (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/08/science/computer-experts-building-1830s-babbage-analytical-engine.html?ref=science&pagewanted=all) and noticed the above discepancy, coflicting with statements in the first paragraph here.
