Notable? Better as a section in larger article?

[edit]

The format and prose of the article is okay, but does it meet WP notability requirements? Are there any sources that talk about this event as a noteworthy event itself? or just a minor skirmish within a broader event? I googled "Action of 2 June 1803" and did not find any significant hits. Can you provide sources that discuss this event in some detail? What do those sources call it? Maybe this is better in a section of a larger article? Noleander (talk) 15:45, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi!
1) I appreciate if there's any notes you have regarding why it's not notable. The sources provided are reliable secondary sources and it does provide well coverage (I can go ahead and expand more if I could). Regarding the date, you can refer to Joshua London and another source here.
2) The sources are already provided and describes the event in details. If you're looking for more sources here's some.
3) The first Barbary War was mostly inconclusive engagements. Then again, these were the most notable engagements in this war.

Thanks for the info. I'm not an expert in military articles, so I'm not able to give an opinion as to whether the event is notable or not. I'm a volunteer at WP:NPP and I'm simply raising a concern, so other military-focused editors could perhaps assist. Noleander (talk) 17:54, 8 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
