I work at Acko and therefore have a conflict of interest, so I am not editing the article directly. I would like to propose the following neutral update to reflect the company’s current products and services, with independent sourcing.
Current sentence “The retail products offered by Acko General Insurance include motor insurance,[10] in-trip domestic insurance[11][12] and mobile insurance.”
Proposed replacement (Paragraph 1 – Insurance Products) “The retail products offered by Acko General Insurance include motor insurance, in-trip domestic insurance, health insurance and travel insurance.[10][11][12] The company also offers term life insurance products through its life insurance subsidiary.”[1][2]
Proposed addition (Paragraph 2 – Value-Added Services)
“Acko also provides several app-based value-added services, including traffic challan checking and payment, FASTag recharge, Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID creation, car servicing through Acko Drive service centres, and online used-car valuation tools.”[3][4]
Rationale
- A Google Cloud case study notes that Acko offers automotive, employee health, and travel insurance products, supporting the additions to the insurance product list.[1]
- Reporting in The Economic Times confirms that Acko’s life insurance subsidiary offers term life insurance products.[2]
- Independent coverage in Healthcare Executive documents Acko’s introduction of the ABHA ID feature, supporting the value-added services section.[3]
- Acko Drive’s service centre information supports the mention of car servicing and valuation tools as part of Acko’s app-based services.[4]
