Talk:Acecraft
Add topicMajor copyedit - March 2026
[edit]I've performed a major copyedit of the article with the following changes:
Formatting fixes
[edit]- Fixed game title formatting per WP:STYLIZE (changed quotes to italics throughout)
- Standardized capitalization per MOS:CAPS (e.g., "Bullet Hell" → "bullet hell")
- Corrected stylization format in lead (moved from comma + quotes to parentheses + italics)
Infobox corrections
[edit]- Developer field: Removed Skystone Games (they are publisher, not developer)
- Publisher field: Clarified regional distribution: "Vizta Games (Asia), Skystone Games (global)"
- Added Producer: Darren "Chen" Lu (was missing entirely)
- Release dates: Expanded to show full timeline (soft launch, closed beta, global release) rather than just final date
- Genre: Changed to primary genre "Shoot 'em up" (overly specific subgenres removed)
- Platforms: Verified and corrected
Content reorganization
[edit]- Reorganized Development section chronologically
- Removed promotional language per WP:NPOV (e.g., "to boost engagement")
- Integrated crossover information into Development section with neutral tone
Section removal
[edit]- Removed Pilots section per WP:NOTGAMEGUIDE:
- Section listed detailed gameplay statistics (wingman types, elemental traits, abilities)
- These are in-game mechanics rather than encyclopedic information
- The notable information (Warner Bros. crossover characters) is already covered in Development section with proper context
- Section would require constant updates as more characters are added
- Had incomplete placeholder images
Stub tag removal
[edit]- Removed {{Mobile-game-stub}} as article now has substantial content with multiple sections, complete infobox, and proper sourcing
Rationale
[edit]The article previously had formatting inconsistencies, incorrect developer/publisher attribution, and mixed promotional language with encyclopedic content. These changes bring it in line with MOS:VG and Wikipedia's content policies while preserving all notable information.
The crossover characters (Tom Cat, Jerry Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck) remain documented in the Development section with release dates and sources - the Pilots section removal only eliminated gameplay statistics that violated WP:NOTGAMEGUIDE.
If there are concerns about any of these changes, please discuss here. ATCopyright11 (talk) 17:44, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
