Callianthe

Note that several Abutilon species have recently been moved to the new genus Callianthe, for which a (rudimentary) article already exists. How do the other Abutilons view this situation? A loss of such magnitude might well be devastating or at least a genuine threat ? What consulting was done with any thought to consequences?
