Uses section
[edit]Putting this link here for future expansion of the article. The book at this link could be the basis to write a nice "Uses" section. --Tom Hulse (talk) 19:02, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
Callianthe
[edit]Note that several Abutilon species have recently been moved to the new genus Callianthe, for which a (rudimentary) article already exists. There are at least a few separate articles already, e.g., Callianthe elegans. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.58.201.13 (talk) 20:56, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
I would also note that the species used to illustrate the article, Abutilon pictum, is one of the species moved to Callianthe. The type species Abutilon theophrasti would be a better choice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.200.2.177 (talk) 22:22, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
- Agree.
- The whole article needs to have the Callianthes cleaned out of it. Hortica (talk) 10:28, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- How do the other Abutilons view this situation? A loss of such magnitude might well be devastating or at least a genuine threat ? What consulting was done with any thought to consequences?
