Metropolitan Books

[edit]

This book (and several others by ERB) were published by "Metropolitan Books", a subsidiary of the Metropolitan Newspaper Service, which later became United Feature Syndicate. (There is a current company called Metropolitan Books, a subsidiary of Henry Holt and Company, but there is no relation.) I've removed the link to the disambiguation page for Metropolitan. Anyway, I'm going to try to find out more about the company and write an article eventually about it. ArglebargleIV 23:01, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

The link got added again shortly after.
I tried changing the page for Metropolitan Books to a disambiguation page - but it got reverted. -- Beardo (talk) 20:40, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Librivox

[edit]

The article says "Nevertheless, LibriVox.org does not recognize this status." What is that supposed to mean ? As I understand, Librivox only contains some books. If it is not there, doesn't it just mean that no-one has recorded it yet ? -- Beardo (talk) 09:45, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
