Military
[edit]A report in the times quotes Barber in saying that he had presented three machines to the government, two with engines and the one flown by Cammell without. The article says four, although he could have given another one later! MilborneOne (talk) 21:16, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
- Like most things, the records seem to be sketchy. Probably Samson was put off the things by Cammell's death. I'm sure I've a cite for him offering four. I also seem to remember that they were all airframe-only, but that at least one of the ones Samson struck off charge had an engine. and I would imagine that they were tricky to fly and would certainly hae and flight charteristics unlike anyhing else they had Incidentally W.T. Busk got his brevet in a Valkrie (maybe why he was so interested in inherent stability), one of the last to do so, I'm probably going to put the Valkyrie as a see also in the Aerial Wheel article. Name
[edit]Would it be better to use the name ASL Valkyrie monoplanes (format as used in ASL Viking) the current title is an unlikely search term with the full stop and abbreviated Ltd. Thought? MilborneOne (talk) 08:33, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
