Dead citation

[edit]

This citation is a dead link:

http://catalogue.flinders.edu.au/reserve/vr/20110800710.pdf

It appears that the site has changed its structure (going to catalogue.flinders.edu.au brings up a redirect page), and the article is now found here:

http://flinders-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo_library/libweb/action/display.do?doc=FUL_ALMA2145978660001771

I can't seem to find the PDF Any advice here?

The direct link to the PDF doesn't appear to be dead, just restricted. I've not been able to find a free version. In the meantime I've added the subscription parameter to the citation. The second link you posted leads me to an error page. Ibadibam (talk) 00:25, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I have the following comments. Firstly, the 'restricted link' is probably reading material for one of the topics offered either for undergraduate or post-graduate studies in maritime archaeology at Flinders University in South Australia. Secondly, after looking at the citation on the bottom of 'sheet 7 of 20' in , I think the citation may not be entirely correct; I think author’s first initial is probably not ‘B” but ‘G’. ‘G’ is for ‘Geoffrey Bolton’ who is mentioned in the article. Thirdly, does the article need the link?. Regards Cowdy001 (talk) 05:43, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, you're right: it's "G", not "B". There's a more full citation at the top of this list that confirms this. I've made the change. As far as including the link, my sense is that a restricted link is better than no link at all. Ibadibam (talk) 19:32, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
It looks like that was a dynamic link, so it must've expired. Anyhow, thanks for tagging the citation- I'm still figuring all this stuff out!--Etherealflux (talk) 19:09, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
