I will add information about how the 539T was developed from the 538T to lower the engine into a locomotive frame, the larger 8-539T engine rated at 1300 horsepower, information about marine use of the ALCO 539T and mention the welded block 540T engine as used by the US Navy. Data from Steinbrenner.--SSW9389 13:26, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Suggestion: Include the non-turbocharged 539 engines as used in the ALCO S-1 and S-3. 69.47.102.188 (talk) 21:31, 15 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Not outdated?

[edit]

While the page isn't as up to date as the others, the most recent updates have brought it to date, I'm pointing this out to see if people agree if this page can be unlabeled as: "Outdated". Llwc7223 (talk) 13:41, 11 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
