Hello I have tried all the number and found that it is not applicable on 1234 number.

The digits need to be sorted before subtracting. The series for 1234 runs 1234–4321=3087; 8730–0378=8532; 8532–2358=6174. Certes (talk) 18:14, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Insufficient definition of initial conditions

(1) in the article says "...has at least two different digits". But iterating 5554 (or any other number with three digits the same AND the fourth one differing by one results in chain that is always [999, 0]. This is a total of 68 numbers from the nine digit pairs.
