Commander

[edit]

The citation given for the wing commander is to an Air Force Times article about a previous commander. --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:53, 28 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Purple prose

[edit]

Particularly this section:

The CTF military personnel, government civilians, and contractors all work together as a team. This concept enables a cheaper, faster, and more effective test program and produces a more effective aerospace system for the warfighter.[1]
Risk is an accepted component of flight testing, but because of Edwards' benchmark flight test safety processes, the center maintains a stellar safety record. The AFTC's mission focuses on Developmental Test and Evaluation which is the process used to identify risks that need to be reduced or eliminated before fielding new systems. Once DT&E is accomplished, aircraft systems transition to Initial Operational Test and Evaluation, or IOT&E where the aircraft is evaluated for combat effectiveness and suitability for an intended mission.[1]

Sadly I lack the expertise to rephrase this information in non purple terms — Catrìona (talk) 07:52, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Lead Section Cleanup

[edit]

Expanded the lead section, thoughts on removing cleanup tag? @Lineagegeek If you have other deficiencies in mind I would be happy to discuss Crims0nSamurai (talk) 18:16, 14 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Crims0nSamurai: I've expanded the bit about the 412th Fighter Group to what I think is the minimum and removed the tag.Lineagegeek (talk) 21:51, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Lineagegeek great work! Crims0nSamurai (talk) 15:13, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
