Historical Accuracy Missing
[edit]Historical Accuracy. Something needs to be adjusted - either in the film or in this review. The Black Hills gold rush that seems to be the focal point of this film began in 1874. Custer was killed in 1876, and was therefore no longer living in 1877. But could it be possible that Mr. Ford was telling a tale from an alternate universe?? - It appears the fim was shot in 1926 but took place in an "earlier time" - during the gold rush. 2603:7080:E245:F00:2004:B406:2E4:86B (talk) 21:53, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
