UMTS/3G Service still available in the US

[edit]

UMTS service is still available in the US through at least one small regional carrier. Union Wireless covers Wyoming and portions of Colorado, Utah, and Idaho. They still have UMTS coverage active according to their coverage map and I can confirm this is active as of today in a personal capacity. See: https://www.unionwireless.com/service-coverage 97.118.252.123 (talk) 22:45, 8 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

""The cell phones use UMTS in combination with 2G GSM standards and bandwidths, but do not support EDGE."

[edit]

I would still like to ask, foe anyone who wrote this, that what phones DID support 3G, but did NOT support EDGE?

I's guess 99% of phones that supported 3G have supported Edge (2.9G). Toke0 (talk) 11:20, 28 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
